Society tells women they have to be confident and happy with who they are, yet bombards them with ways to fix their flaws, hide their imperfections and boost their confidence. Mixed signals are being sent through interactions with mediums of popular culture and even personal relationships. Embracing the imperfections and refusing to hide them results in struggles with modern views of femininity. Buying into these views puts women in an accepted place in society, but at what cost?
